Project Description

The Internet appears to play a significant role in disseminating information about health worker recruitment and influencing health worker migration.  In this project, which is one component of a larger CIHR funded project, "Source
country perspectives on the migration of highly trained health personnel: Causes, consequences and responses", recruitment websites were identified through Internet search engines using specific keywords and search terms.   These recruitment agencies were then analyzed based on geographic location, the relationship of the agencies with Canada, targeted groups of health workers, methods used to target the workers, services offered by the agency, and other components.
