Health Workforce
As the CIHR Chair in Health Human Resources from which she led the development of the Canadian Health Workforce Network, she has advanced research on health workforce data for and planning, acknowledging health workers scopes of practice which led to her co-leadership of the Team Primary Care initiative. Dr. Bourgeault has also led the Healthy Professional Worker Partnership, which looks at the workplace mental health experiences of professional workers and she has contributed to a research program on the often overlooked mental health and substance use health workforce with colleagues and community partners.
